Team USA improved to 2-0 at the 2026 World Baseball Classic with a 9-1 win against Great Britain on Saturday and gets a day off before returning to action against Mexico on Monday, March 9.

NL Cy Young winner Paul Skenes is scheduled to start for the Americans, who can secure a spot in the quarterfinals.

Mexico beat Britain in its WBC opener on Friday and will face Brazil on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET the day before the showdown with Team USA. The United States would play in the quarterfinals on March 13 or 14, the latter date if the team finishes runner-up in Pool B.
